ART
Q & A
Q: When did you start painting?
A: I went to the fair around the age of 13 and this street vendor type of guy started doing space art with spray paint. I told my friend I could easily do the same things he was doing. The next morning I grabbed the only spray paint can in my house and made some brown space art. From then on, I explored different painting techniques and mediums.
Q: When did your art career begin?
A: I think my art career started in the 6th grade. My class was studying a specific artist and we were supposed to recreate a similar piece to that of the artist. I added a fiddler in my piece because that is what the artist we were studying did. After stating there are no mistakes in art, the teacher looked over my pastel drawing and told me it was so bad. She continued to tell me never to submit the piece to be displayed as it was so terrible and filled with mistakes and if I submitted it she was going to reject it. Although it was completely uneccessary and rude of her to do that, it was the first time someone distinguished my art from the others.
Q: Who and What inspires your art?
A: God, my life, and the things I see.
Q: Why did you start painting?
A: I think there is an amazing freedom when there is a blank canvass infront of you. I can create whatever I want no matter what.
Q: What are your favorite materials?
A: I like all materials. However, my favorite is acrylic paint because it's easy to get off my hands.
Q: Do you consider yourself an abstract artist?
A: I don't know. When someone makes a Wikipedia page of me, we'll find out.
